The bilious or pittha planets are Sun and Mars. The affliction of these planets give rise to bilious diseases. Seat of this disease is Simha and Kanya rasis in natural zodiac. Fifth and sixth houses govern the same. Jaundice, sleeplessness, increase of hunger, all these are bilious diseases. The diseases come into presence when biles increase. Colic is the result of a diseased bile. Other bilious diseases are burning, warmth, suppuration, ulceration etc. When the above planets, houses and house-lords ruling biles are afflicted by malefics by their conjunction, aspect etc, the bilious elements in the body increase, while the planets, houses and house lords are weak and afflicted, the bilious elements in the body decrease.

he stars Bharani, Mrigasira, Pushya, Purba-falgooni, Chitra, Anuradha, Purbashara, Dhanista and Uttara-Bhadrapada rule the bile and people, born under any of the said stars as lagna or rasi or affliction of any of them in natal horoscope, are liable to suffer from bilious complains.

When above planets, houses and their lords ruling biles be weak, afflicted, placed in evil houses, conjoined with evil lords or malefics and be in any way related with the disease inflicting houses or planets, they give rise to bilious diseases.

• When Mercury is with lord of lagna along with lord of sixth house.
• When Sun is conjoined with a malefic and is also aspected by another malefic.
• When Sun is in eighth house, Mars is without strength and a malefic is in second house.
• When Moon is in house of Mars hemmed between malefics.
• When lord of sixth house is in eighth house along with Sun and a malefic.
• When Saturn, Mars and Jupiter are in lagna.
• When lord of sixth house is with Venus, Mars and Saturn.
• When Mars is in Karkata in opposition to Sun.
• When Venus, Sun and Saturn are in one house.
• If weak Sun or Mars be in eighth house and malefic be in second house.
• When Rahu is in eighth house aspected by malefics.
• If Mercury be in lagna with lord of sixth house.

Lagna—Kumbha ; Rahu in Mithuna ; Jupiter and Venus In Simha ; Sun and Mars in Kanya ; Mercury in Tula ; Ketu in Dhanu ; Moon in Makara ; Saturn in Meena.

This is a case of constant bilious complains.
The reasons for the same are :—

• Sun is with malefic Mars and is aspected by another malefic Saturn.
• Sun is in eighth house ; Mars is without strength and is afflicted, and malefic Saturn is in second house.
• Weak Mars and. Sun are in the eighth house and malefic Saturn is in second house.
• Karaka Mars and Sun are afflicted.
• Kanya rasi is afflicted by malefics.
• Sixth house from Moon is conjoined with Rahu and lord of sixth house from Moon is also afflicted by Rahu.
• Fifth houses from lagna and Moon are afflicted.
• Sixth house from lagna is aspected by Rahu, and Moon, sixth lord there from, is in dusthana

Thus we find many factors are present in this horoscope to give rise to excess of bilious complains. Though Simha rasi in this horoscope is well guarded, the affliction of other houses and planets ruling biles are more stronger.
